Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Sr. R&D Specialist to join our Therapeutic Antibody Immunoscreening team. The successful candidate will contribute to the identification of potential therapeutic antibodies and selection process of the lead molecules in early discovery stage.
With mimimal guidance, this Specialist is expected to develop and optimize screening immunoassays such as ELISA and cell based assays suitable for high throughput antibody screenings with a focus on oncology and immunology targets. As part of the screening team, this Specialist will perform high throughput screening assays, compile screening data and report findings to the team. The ability to maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, deadline driven and project-oriented team environment is essential. The qualified candidate should have a strong background in biological sciences preferably biochemistry or immunology with hands-on experience in immunoassay development. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as this candidate will be expected to work productively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
- Design and optimize immunoassays to assess antibody therapeutics functional properties with referencing protocols.
- Design and execute cell-binding assays to categorize the diversity of the antibodies in the collection.
- Execute assays according to established protocols as a part of antibody high throughput screenings.
- Perform medium to high throughput mammalian cell binding assays and maintain mammalian and murine cell cultures.
- Optimize assays for in-vitro quantitative characterization of the lead antibodies.
- Compile and analyze data by Excel and graphic software.
- Keep manager and the project team informed of experimental results, prepare written and oral presentations to the screening team and interdepartmental project team.
- Keep accurate records of experimental procedures and results.

Requirements
- A minimum of six years of experience with a Master's degree, ten years experience or more with a Bachelor's degree with extensive knowledge of immunology and protein biology and hands-on bench research/development experience required.
- Strong background in in-vitro protein characterization, such as ligand/receptor binding characterization and quantitative potency determination, protein structure-function relationship in the field of biochemistry or immunology.
- Skilled in aseptic techniques and human and mouse cell culturing.
- Experience with immunoassay and cell-based assay development (ELISA, FACS, electro-chemiluminescent-based technology).
- High throughput screening experience and familiarity with liquid handlers are beneficial.
- Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and graphical analysis software required.
- Must be able to multitask and perform data analysis under time pressure.
- Ideal candidate should have experience working independently as well as a collaborative team member and communicate effectively within a large team.
- Excellent adaptability and flexibility essential.
