Job Details
Our expanding In Vivo Tumor Biology group has an opening for a motivated individual who is dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative therapeutics, both small molecule and biologics. As part of a multidisciplinary team, this individual will support and perform in vivo studies for the pharmacological evaluation of novel agents. Our scientists frequently interact with in vitro biology, translational/biomarkers, toxicology, clinical research, and medicinal chemistry teams to advance oncology agents through the R&D pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
- Good animal practice
- Performs MTDs; records animal weight, observes and records clinical observations on small laboratory animals in a regulatory environment
- Small animal restraint, dosing (e.g. oral, intravenous, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous drug administration), surgery, collection/processing of blood/tissues, formulation of drugs and calculation of the appropriate quantities to ensure proper administration
- Compliance with all applicable local, federal, GLP, FDA, and USDA regulations
- Ability to provide basic level technical training
- Apply and maintain safety procedures
- Will be required to work on weekends and some holidays
- Effectively collaborates across all internal and cross functional teams

Qualifications
- Associate or B.S. in Biology or related field with 1+ yr small animal care experience
- Must be a team player in a matrixed environment with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills is required
- Enthusiastic individual motivated to learn new techniques, ability to troubleshoot/improve as needed
- Experience with basic sterile techniques as well as rodent micro-surgical experience are a plus
- Basic computer skills
Preferred:
- Previous IACUC laboratory animal training/experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
- Pharma industry experience is a plus
- Familiarity with trial designs is a plus
