Director/Sr. Director Potency & Protein Analytical Sciences

Our protein analytical sciences group supports discovery projects. Going forward we are strengthening this group as a separate Business Unit (BU) and expanding the scope to provide services for characterization of biological products, which includes the determination of physicochemical properties, biological activity, immunochemical properties, purity and impurities in accordance with the requirements of the ICH Q6B Guidance.

This role is responsible for running the BU which includes capability building, scientific delivery of the projects, help S&M for customer acquisition and retention, Profit & Loss of the BU. This position will be reporting to the President Aragen.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Development: 

• Develop strategies and ensure execution for the Business Unit which are aligned with the short, medium and long term goals of the company
• Unique services proposition to clients and partners and develop long term partnerships.
• Partner with other BU heads & S&M, identify new services & markets and ensure the BU is prepared to meet customer expectations.

Operational Efficiencies: 

• Provide direction to the team in driving operational efficiencies, cost management and enhancing productivity.
• Build/Develop process, systems and metrics that drive performance and productivity and ensure business is competitive to the external competition.
• Envisions and establishes capabilities including differentiating capabilities
• Ownership and accountability of the scientific quality of the BU
• Proactively enables the timely execution of projects
• Customer interaction and communication
• Supporting other BUs for their bioanalytical needs

People & Organization Development: 

• Create an environment to nurture teamwork and synergy.
• Build infrastructure and people capacity for achieving the growth targets set for the company

Financial Performance:

• Ensure financial performance of the BU as per the targets Compliances 
• Develop and comply the regulatory guidelines Drive the culture of compliance to the local laws and corporate guidelines Required Educational

Qualification and experience:

• PhD with 12+ yrs. of relevant experience in Biological Solutions industry
• Understanding of Biologics/ Biosimilars markets
• Experience in running P&L, hiring and development of scientific talent
