Position Location:
The Arch Oncology research labs are located in the Cortex Innovation Community in St. Louis, MO, near the Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis University. Arch Oncology also has offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. This position will be located in St. Louis.

Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Scientist/Lab Manager with extensive experience in a academia, biotech or pharma setting, with the later two settings preferred.
- Perform as key point person for cell culture. Able to carry a large number of standard cancer cell lines in culture while maintaining consistency of those cells and their master cell banks in order to provide researchers with quality cells for subsequent experimentation.
- Perform other standard molecular, biochemical and biologic techniques associated with in vitro characterization of anti-cancer antibodies. (ex. Flow cytometry, ELISA, Western Blotting, cell-based assays etc.).
- Coordinate the organization and efficiency of the laboratory while overseeing routine lab operations to ensure efficient work flow and compliance with regulations, including safety regulations.
- Manage purchasing and maintenance of lab equipment and supplies.
- Maintain thorough and accurate scientific records.
- The expected balance between bench work and laboratory management is 60:40 respectively.
Position Requirements and Experience:
- B.S or M.S in biological sciences and preferably cancer biology, pharmacology, immunology, or related discipline.
- ~5 Years prior work experience required.
- Experience in mammalian cell culture, assays and aseptic technique; transfection and stable cell line production.
- Maintains a command of relevant scientific literature.
- Strong collaborative skills; well-organized; goal oriented; effective in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A strong work ethic, drive, pro-activeness and ability to execute and multi-task activities with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-pace environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exemplifies honesty, ethics, and integrity.
