Paragon Gene Therapy, in Baltimore & Harmans, Maryland, provides industry-leading GMP development and manufacturing services for cutting-edge biopharmaceuticals such as recombinant viral vectors, next generation vaccines & hard-to-express recombinant proteins and oncolytic viruses.
This role will build the future leadership culture of Paragon. As the owner of enterprise wide training and development, the incumbent will lead our organizational effort to develop best-in-class practices pertaining to leadership development, team building, performance management and cross-functional collaboration. This leader will work seamlessly between Paragon functions to understand business priorities and challenges leading to innovative design and implementation of Leadership & Development solutions. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct Leadership & Development needs assessment of Paragon organization
- Design and lead Leadership & Development programs that build workforce effectiveness and optimize for customer experience and attainment of Paragon business goals
- Conduct assessments of individual performance while providing recommendations, coaching and development to Paragon leadership ranks
- Lead platform content development to create and deploy enterprise learning solutions
- Build strategic alliances with external consulting agencies and academic institutions to develop advanced training curriculum
- Design & deliver blended learning solutions including learning workshops (live & remote)
- Implement measures of effectiveness to monitor and track effectiveness of Paragon training programs ensuring efficacy through time and adherence to industry best practices
Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Must provide evidence of successful assessment, design, and implementation of enterprise wide training curriculum that impact multiple organizational levels
- Knowledge of current best practices in the areas of adult learning, leadership development, organizational effectiveness and talent management
- Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and productively partner with individuals at all levels across the organization, in addition to senior executive leaders
- Demonstrated learning agility to quickly learn new organizations, products & markets
- Strong program management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- High results orientation and productivity inclination; proven ability to work independently
- Excellent influence and persuasion skillset both written and verbal
- Experience with LMS and e-based learning applications preferred
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree highly desirable
- Minimum of 7 - 10 years business experience including leading large-scale leadership development initiatives, curricula design, and implementing talent development programs
- Experience in life sciences, preferably from a CDMO, will be viewed favorably but not necessary
- Exposure to a multi-generational teaching environment highly valued
