Research Investigator - In Vivo Pharmacology in Immunosciences Drug Discovery

Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a Research Investigator to join diverse In Vivo Pharmacology research in Immunosciences Drug Discovery targeting therapeutic area of autoimmunity and inflammation.
  • This individual will report to the Head of the Immunosciences In Vivo Pharmacology Group and will interact seamlessly with other scientists and functional groups within a drug discovery team to formulate and implement the in vivo strategy for autoimmunity and immuno-oncology programs.
  • While the major focus of this position will be the in vivo evaluation of novel therapeutic agents that will support these drug discovery efforts, additional responsibilities include the identification and validation of novel disease and target specific biomarkers, and the development of new pharmacodynamic and disease models for autoimmune and immuno-oncology indications.
  • Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1- Supervise technical staff, either as a direct manager or in a matrix organization, with extensive scientific knowledge; 2- Prepare, review and deliver scientific presentations to internal and external stakeholders.


Requirements.
  • Ph.D. in Immunology or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
  • Knowledge of the Immunology/Inflammation therapeutic area with a strong in vivo background is essential.
  • Previous experience with standard inflammation and disease models of autoimmune diseases is preferred, as is working knowledge of FACS, cell and ex vivo assay development.
  • Experience in designing ex vivo studies to assess pharmacodynamic and target engagement endpoints is desirable.
  • The position will require strong scientific background and proven leadership ability with a strong collaborative style and excellent communication skills.
