HR Operations, Sr. Manager/Associate Director

Overview

This position is responsible for the employee life cycle, data integrity, HR operational excellence and efficiency. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources you will lead a team that plays an integral part of the employee experience at Dynavax.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team responsible for managing the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits, transfers, performance cycles, leaves of absence and offboarding. You are the first point of contact for HR related concerns of employees.
• Ensure the highest level of data management and accuracy in all HR systems.
• Own compliance and assess readiness in close partnership with legal and finance.
• Partner with HR Business Partners to execute company-wide performance management, compensation cycles, leave management and other critical HR programs.
• Develop and report out quarterly HR metrics.
• Bring best practice expertise and ideas to improve and streamline processes, procedures and programs.
• Foster Dynavax core values and leadership behaviors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
• The senior manager will 5+ years of progressive experience in HR and at least 1 year in a management role. The Associate Director level will have 8+ experience and 3+ years management experience.
• Knowledge of best practices for HR operational processes.
• Strong working knowledge of general employment law and practices.
• Strong leadership ability, clear proactive communicator with high EQ.
