We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Supply Chain Excellence and Innovation group and support the Serialized Product Traceability (SPT) & Physical Financial Flow (PFF) programs at Amgen. SPT encompasses a set of Serialization and Track & Trace initiatives aimed at securing our supply chain to ensure safe, authentic products reach every patient, every time. PFF entails a series of efforts to advance processes & technology governing product flow & related transactional data alignment. Both initiatives help further ensure effective & efficient compliance with global regulations.

The individual will be part a fast-paced team seeking to leverage new capabilities to improve the way Amgen makes and delivers products to patients. This role will interact with a wide range of business functions to understand processes, improve capabilities, and deploy new technologies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support cross-functional projects from beginning to end: from building relationships with key business stakeholders to collecting and analyzing data, as well as summarize and present key insights in to help evaluate strategic options that support SPT & PFF capabilities
  • Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for meeting regulations
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new process capabilities to drive cost savings, improve operational efficiency, and ensure product quality
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support special projects
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of capabilities that meet business needs


Basic Qualifications:

Master's Degree

OR

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience.

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience.

OR

High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business, engineering, science, logistics, computer science, or related field and 3 or more years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations or Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, science, logistics, computer science, or related field and 5 or more years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Relevant experience in biopharmaceutical operations or Supply Chain
  • Understanding of / experience in Operations, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering
  • Experience with common supply operations systems, such as ERP (SAP ECC)
  • Experience working in a GMP environment
  • Knowledge of GS1 standards and guidelines
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally in an organization
  • Energetic, detailed oriented, highly motivated with a "can do" outlook
  • Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and under tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
