Summary:

Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), Oncology is a field-based, non-sales position on Regeneron's commercial oncology team, focused on enhancing and improving interactions with key external US oncology thought leaders at academic centers and leading community practices. The four primary areas of focus include thought leader engagement, executive encounters with senior management, advocacy development, and liaising with marketing. All TLL interactions are always within label, and consistent with commercial compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines. TLLs will report to the Vice President, Oncology Business Unit Head.

The TLL will work closely with cross-functional leaders from Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access and the Oncology Leadership Team to ensure alignment with the overall strategy and tactical execution. The attributes that are critical for success include leadership, collaboration, communication, and the ability to execute key initiatives and provide timely feedback.

Responsibilities:

The TLL job responsibilities are focused primarily on four key areas.

Thought Leader Engagement

• Aligning with cross-functional teams, the TLL orchestrates resources as they relate to assigned key thought leaders

• Conducting substantive business discussions related to on-label product information, disease state, and general corporate overviews

• Compliantly collaborating and communicating cross-functionally with respect to assigned thought leaders to ensure strategic and tactical cohesiveness

• Acting as a coordinated, single point of contact to resolve issues when directed by management

• Executing a customer-centric needs-based approach with respect to key thought leaders

Orchestrates Thought Leader Executive Encounters and Engagement

• In a complaint manner, plan and execute thought leader engagements and senior executive encounters at local, regional and national's conferences, POAs, in field engagements, and other venues as directed

• Act as a liaison between thought leaders and home office cross-functional leadership teams

Advocate Development

• Assisting with on-label key thought leader development, including speakers, with approved decks and materials

• Becoming the single point of contact for certain speaker logistic/scheduling activities and working cross functionally to ensure appropriate communication

Marketing

• Obtaining feedback from thought leaders on brand-related marketing initiatives

• Providing feedback to marketing leadership on various topics as requested

• Providing advisory board participant recommendations, and attending advisory boards where needed

• Provide speaker recommendations to marketing when requested

• Follow and be knowledgeable of all relevant laws, regulations and corporate policies governing all activities

• Facilitate speaker bureau management, including contracting when requested

Additional responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic customer insights to the Oncology Leadership Team, including the Head of the Oncology Commercial Business Unit

• Work collaboratively in developing and refining business plans to achieve brand objectives

• Strategically assess and identify critical information required to successfully achieve goals

• Participate in helping to define the culture and direction of Regeneron's Oncology TLL Team

• Advise on development of appropriate TLL budget allocations

Requirements:

• Strong science background with deep knowledge of oncology. Ability to understand, work with, and provide commercial input to all functions within the project team

• Specialty pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 7 years of work experience in one or more of the following: previous or current Thought Leader Liaison role, field sales, product marketing, or medical / clinical experience including experience in the Dermatologic Oncology market or a similar Immuno-Oncology marketplace. Launch experience preferred.

• Physician-administered biologics experience preferred

• Demonstrated leadership skills (past management experience a plus but not required)

• Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong project management experience, including superior analytical and planning skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines

• Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary

• Current understanding of pharmaceutical promotional rules and regulations

• Valid driver's license

• ~ 60% - 80% travel likely

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree - required

• Master's degree or other advanced education/certification a plus.
