Job Summary

Are you a talent scout with a vast network? Do you eat, sleep and breathe recruitment? Amgen is looking for a talent scout to develop and execute a strategy to deliver future leaders for key leadership roles within Research & Development (R&D). In partnership with senior leaders across R&D and HR, you will gain business insights to build and recommend a talent scouting plan based on information obtained through succession and hiring plans, competitive intelligence and industry trends. In addition, you will focus on diversity scouting plans and influence hiring teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Build a highly skilled talent scouting process for R&D
  • Build and maintain external talent pipelines for key leadership roles
  • Introduce external talent to senior business leaders for potential future career opportunities
  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure success and return on investment
  • Serve as the internal authority and coach others on sourcing/scouting strategies and industry standards
  • Ensure sourcing tools and techniques are being used properly and consistently
  • Use data and analytics to provide market insights to business leaders
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and news, and technology


Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Talent Acquisition experience
OR
Master's degree and 4 years of Talent Acquisition experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Talent Acquisition experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Talent Acquisition experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Talent Acquisition experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience in a sourcing or scouting role
  • Experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning models
  • Bio/Pharma Industry Knowledge; experience in the Research & Development space
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and promoting a creative new process
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to influence leaders in the organization
  • Excellent creativity in terms of both strategic solutions and tactical ideas
  • Ability to lead multiple time critical projects at a time and accommodate shifting priorities
  • High degree of flexibility, self-motivation and drive
  • Strong analytical skills and high level of comfort using data/metrics
