This person will work in Environment Health & Safety (EHS) in Tarrytown, NY. The student will receive mentoring and experience under the guidance of the Sr. EHS Training Specialist.

Projects with the Sr. EHS Training Specialist will be technology-based and the intern will:

• Become familiar with and use sophisticated e-learning authoring programs and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

• Update the look and feel of EHS-branded modules

• Conduct training needs assessments

• Research, storyboard, and develop new EHS e-learning content according to needs assessment

• QC departmental training profiles with manager training requests and existing Training Matrix

Please note, there may also be opportunity to assist other EHS Specialists on other assignments, such as risk assessments regulated waste management, and safety inspections.

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student

• Must be pursuing a degree in Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Biology, Health Sciences, or related field

• Proficiency with technology, attention to detail, proofreading; experience with PowerPoint and Adobe Captivate a plus

• Soft skills, such as taking direction well; ability to retain new concepts and recall procedures after receiving instruction; agility to switch gears quickly, if needed; ability to manage multiple projects at a time

General Intern Program Information:

• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD

• Summer Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) for at least 10 weeks and is paid

• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)

• Enjoy weekly 1 hour Intern Program events: learn about other areas of the company from VPs and other employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!

• Present to your team on your summer project
