ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, OPINION LEADER PROGRAMS MARKETING

Position Summary:

The Associate Director/Director, Opinion Leader Programs (OLP) Marketing role will be a critical contributor to the launch of Voxelotor for sickle cell anemia (SCA). Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position will have responsibility for Opinion Leader identification, mapping and engagement plan, and symposia / speaker programming. In addition, the role will be responsible for all advisory board activities targeting Sickle Cell Anemia Experts and Community Treaters in order to drive critical insights to influence Voxelotor's launch. A successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership, drive for results and ability to collaborate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead GBT's efforts including identification, mapping, and engagement of key Opinion Leaders

o Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key Opinion Leaders to help advance education around Sickle Cell Anemia and appropriate adoption of Voxelotor

• Develop a comprehensive advisory board plan for garnering insights from Opinion Leaders, community treaters, and other key stakeholders in sickle cell anemia treatment that will influence brand strategy and tactics

• Build, maintain and enhance the promotional speaker bureau for Voxelotor to accelerate the healthcare communities understanding of the therapy, its clinical data and the patients who can benefit

o Lead content creation for speaker program, aligned to market development and promotion strategy

• Drive internal stakeholder alignment for your projects and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams that support the brand

o Collaborate with Medical, Legal and Regulatory colleagues to ensure an effective and productive promotional review process

• Lead development of OLP business process and systems include SOPs, tracking, metrics, reporting, process improvements, training, etc.

o Track key metrics to measure success, analyze data & recommend changes based on results

• Oversee vendors including management of operating budget to ensure appropriate investment and execution of brand tactics

• Ensure all Opinion Leader Programs are compliant with regulatory agencies, public policies, and company policies and procedures

• Contribute to overall brand strategy and launch planning with novel opportunities to establish the brand

• Lead, manage and develop 1 direct report to pull through strategy and execution of deliverables

• Create and support an environment of inclusion and excellence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related fields. Advanced degree and/or scientific degree preferred

• Minimum 8+ years' experience of pharmaceutical commercial experience, including 5 years of marketing, product management and/or sales leadership experience

o Proven success working in complex specialty markets and/or market building in underdeveloped disease areas are a plus

o Experience on new product launch is a plus

• Understanding of adult learning methods for creating impactful educational experiences tailored to specific audiences

• Demonstrated project management capabilities, analytical skillset and acting with initiative

• Proven ability to influence and solve problems

• Preference to operate quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding launch environment

• Ability to travel up to ~35% (estimated)
