Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Relocation in the form of a miscellaneous allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.

The Medical Information function is one of the most important pillars within Global Medical, supporting the patient and provider communities by providing product specific information through call centers serving 100+ countries. Medical Information provides information on the safe and effective use of a company's products by providing reactive, accurate, fair-balanced, and timely information.

With the support of his/her hiring manager, the intern will assist with a productivity initiative. The project will involve development of a charter to map out objectives for a "request for proposal" (RFP), identify key stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables. Leveraging his/her analytical, leadership, and communication skills, the intern will work cross-functionally to evaluate and measure the current state, develop recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and present the findings through various forums including an intern-wide poster session and a final readout to executive management.

In conjunction with the project work, interns will have the opportunity for professional development through training sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and various networking events.

The intern will be expected to achieve the following objectives:

- Review current state of Medical Information capability across the globe

- Analysis of data through benchmarking reports

- Development of project tracking resources in various formats

- Summary and presentation of findings to a cross-functional team

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a MBA program for a MBA internship from an accredited college or university

Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
