Summary:
The Executive Director is responsible for leading the New Product Planning Team. This team is responsible to provide commercial input to the various development teams for all pipeline assets across multiple Therapeutic Areas. The Team is accountable for providing cross functional commercial strategic insight that will inform the development teams. The team is also responsible to lead the global commercialization activities for pipeline assets prior to they are assigned to a Business Unit. This role will report to the VP, Oncology Commercial Business Unit and New Product Planning.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead the New Products Planning team, global commercial development and execution of strategy for Regeneron's extensive pipeline across multiple therapeutic areas.

2. Provide strategic leadership to cross functional teams, as well as ensure the commercial/cross functional perspective on the development teams.

3. Develop and manage annual budgets, long range plans and determining the best allocation of global resources for the pipeline.

4. Works with legal, regulatory, medical affairs, corporate communications, clinical development, and translational medicine to ensure global alignment of the proposed strategy.

5. Work with Market Access, Medical and HEOR to develop differentiation strategies and compelling value proposition to secure appropriate market access.

6. The Team Leader will have frequent interactions with Executive Management.

7. The Team Leader is responsible for professional development of its team members and to ensure that adequate resources are available to optimize the team deliverables.

8. The New Product Planning function is relatively new to Regeneron. The Team Leader is responsible to evolve and improve the function to meet the need of the organization.
Requirements:

• Must demonstrate ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, inform, negotiate, and collaborate

• Proven ability to lead direct reports.

• Proven team leader with ability to navigate in a growing organization.

• Strong science background with deep knowledge of various disease areas. A plus if previous experiences in immunology/inflammation, cardiovascular and infectious disease.

• Ability to understand, work with, and provide commercial input to all functions.

• Effective communication, both written and oral, at all times. Experience in delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers with a track record of effective and influential presentations.

• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate with senior leadership both internally and externally.

• Demonstrated initiative, creativity, strategic capabilities, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments.

• Strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize.

• Must be able to conceptualize and articulate a vision for self and team that energizes all functional areas and stakeholders.

• Ability to interact with, influence and provide direction to multiple functions as part of the global disease team.

• Strong analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative.

• Proven success working within strategic alliances.

• Bachelor's Degree Required, MBA preferred.

• Executive Director level candidate - At least 15 years of pharmaceutical experience with at least 10 years in Marketing.

• Biotechnology experience preferred.

• US and Global biopharmaceutical marketing experience required.

• Previous product/indication launch experience required. Oncology experience strongly preferred.

• Previous experience in marketing/new products marketing leadership role required.

• Sales and sales management experience preferred.

• Demonstrated track record of commercial success in positions with progressive responsibilities.

• Previous experience with successful partnerships with R&D, medical, HEOR, market access and commercial.
