Summary:

As a part of the Therapeutic Antibody group within Therapeutic Proteins department, this individual will work with mice towards development of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and antibody reagents to support research and pre-clinical programs.
Responsibilities will include: execute immunization experiments according to established protocols; conduct immuno-assays to determine the immune responses, analyze the data and communicate the results with upper managers; collaborate with antibody isolation team to conduct the final boost timely. This position involves about 50-60% in-vivo work. It is also expected that this individual will be developing capability of designing and executing experiments independently to optimize assay conditions. In a collaborative team environment, this individual would be expected to team up with other working groups on a need basis and to maintain high productively in a fast-paced working environment.

Job Duties:

Essential Functions required for the job. List both technical and managerial requirements if applicable.

• Mouse handling and drug injection via all routes, such as sc, iv, ip etc

• Tail-vein blood sample collection

• Immunoassays such as ELISA

• Data analysis using software such as Excel, GraphPad Prism

• Communication and data presentation skills, written and oral

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Requirements:

This position requires a minimum of a BS/MS degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related disciplines and 2-3 years laboratory experience. Laboratory experience should include:

• Candidates with animal handling experience are most desirable

• Knowledge in immunology and/or B cell development is a plus

• Must be able to work productively in a fast-paced collaborative team environment

• Experience in cell culture and immunoassay such as ELISA is desirable

• Excellent communication skills are essential
