Job Details
This newly-created position supports the development of IP strategy in the IP Law organization. The Senior Associate will select, build, manage, and own a project management tool to track and manage key timepoints for IP assessment. The Senior Associate will work closely with internal stakeholders and business partners including Product Teams, Research, Operations, and Commercial functions. In addition, the Senior Associate is responsible for creating, organizing, managing, and updating IP department resources and data housed on Sharepoint. Finally, the Senior Associate is responsible to stay informed of best practices related to the job responsibilities and provide innovative, impactful ideas to optimize processes to support the organization's growth strategies.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and own processes to track and collaborate with stakeholders to successfully fulfill critical IP deliverables in Amgen's commercialization process
Set-up and coordinate meetings to drive deliverables to conclusion
Select, build and update internal databases for sharing information with permission controls
Deploy 'best in class' project management skills and Sharepoint knowledge management practices and serve as a resource for others in the department
Provide regular reports and presentations that clearly summarize department information to key stakeholders to inform decision making
Opportunity to further develop and define newly-created role
Turn unstructured business issues/requests into appropriate action plans and projects that result in high quality, meaningful and actionable deliverables
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of project management experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of project management experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in biochemistry, biology, or chemistry
3+ years of project management experience
3+ years of work experience with a life sciences company
Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle and commercialization process
Excellent organizational skills and a superior attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Sharepoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
Advanced knowledge of various project management and data management tools
Proficient facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving and change management skills
Superior ability to work in a self-directed manner while balancing a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands
Project a positive, 'can do' attitude and eagerly contribute to all initiatives as needed and requested
