Amgen is searching for a Training and Development Associate who will report to the Training and Development Manager and will be based in Tampa, FL, at Amgen's Capability Center.

The Associate of Training and Development works with clients in the Information Systems, Finance and Global Business Solutions functions and the learning community to evaluate and manage learning and performance solutions that develop staff, continually improve key processes and enable technology adoption and usage based on the strategic direction of the company. This individual manages the training assignment process for Information Systems and Finance staff in coordination with supporting services and in collaboration with other functional Learning and Performance Managers. This person will oversee site training logistics and event coordination.

The selected candidate will work under the direction of Global Learning and Performance management and be responsible for ensuring training assignments are executed on-time per plan. This individual will work closely with technical teams, business and role owners and Global Learning Services to help translate requirements to training assignments and manage the assignment governance process. This person will address training compliance issues, support root-cause investigations and provide reporting and metrics to functional leadership and Global Learning and Performance management. The ideal candidate will have IS acumen and conceptual understanding of DevOps, data structures, programming codes, process automation and cyber security.

This individual will liaise with Global Learning & Performance peers and management to apply appropriate models, methods and learning techniques This person will work with clients to manage curricula, assignments and training material integration with Amgen's learning management system. This person may also conduct needs analysis, design, source and implement curricula, provide content review, evaluate learning and support budget planning.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

OR

Associate's degree and 4 years of training and development, business analysis, project coordination or similar experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of training and development, business analysis, project coordination or similar experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a learning and performance organization
  • Experience in coordinating training activities
  • Experience in analyzing and preparing data for decision-making
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Solid presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work well in teams and collaborate
  • Ability to interface with staff and management
