The Senior Associate of Training and Development works with clients in the Information Systems and Finance functions, management and the learning community to evaluate and manage training to meet regulatory requirements and intended business results based on the strategic direction of the company. This individual manages and continually improves existing programs for Information Systems and Finance staff in coordination with supporting services and in collaboration with other functional Learning and Performance Managers. This role assists Learning Professionals in the identification and tracking of key performance indicators to establish program ROI, contributes to the design and execution of learning programs and supports development of data analytic competencies through training and online content curation. This role also manages the training assignment process and promotes clear training requirements to enable management-staff accountability and appropriate inclusion in learning solutions impacting staff.

The selected candidate will work under the direction of Global Learning and Performance management and be responsible for relationship management within defined area of support, conducting performance analysis, ensuring organizational training and supporting change management activities such as communications and engagement activities. This individual may address training compliance issues, support root-cause investigations and provide reporting and metrics to functional leadership and Global Learning and Performance management.

This individual will liaise with Global Learning & Performance Managers and Global Learning Services to apply appropriate models, methods and techniques for learning and working with clients to manage curricula, assignments and training material integration with Amgen's learning management system. This person may also conduct needs analysis, design, source and implement curricula, provide content review, evaluate learning and support budget planning.

Basic Qualifications:

Master's Degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of training and development experience in a regulated industry

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of training and development experience in a regulated industry

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of training and development experience in a regulated industry

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting training requirements for GxP regulations
  • Experience in coordinating and executing multiple learning solutions
  • Experience in analyzing and preparing data for decision-making
  • Experience using data analytic tools such as Tableau
  • Experience working on teams using Agile methodologies
  • Experience in supporting non-conformance / root-cause investigations
  • Experience in training and staff development
  • Experience working within the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Solid presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work well in teams and collaborate
  • Ability to interface cross-functionally in a dynamic, matrixed environment
