Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an imaging subject matter expert.
  • Provide drug development teams with advice and guidance concerning the appropriateness, feasibility, limitations and benefits of applying imaging in various scenarios.
  • Proactively propose studies and other imaging approaches where they may add value to drug development.
  • Ensure that study designs are fit for purpose.
  • Support the implementation of imaging in clinical trials by providing input into site selection, imaging specific trial documents, and overseeing the imaging components of clinical trials.
  • Ensure that the analysis and interpretation of results is conducted to a high standard.
  • Provide input into reporting and publication of imaging studies; including authoring scientific publications and presenting data internally and externally.
  • Manage study/project budgets and progress (in conjunction with other groups).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external collaborators (academic and industrial), including engaging in research collaborations which will support the use of imaging in future clinical trials, or otherwise further understanding of diseases we aim to treat.


Position will be hired based on Education and Experience

Basic:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in a scientific discipline preferably in an imaging related area
  • 10+ (BS), 8+ (MS), or 0+ (PhD) years of relevant experience.
  • Professional training in the area of imaging through academia or industry.
  • Has played a senior/leading role in the design, conduct and interpretation of clinical imaging studies.
  • Excellent understanding of common biomedical imaging methodologies, including MRI and PET, with a particular emphasis on experimental design and quantification.
  • Experience of applying imaging in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: immunology, Oncology or Neuroscience; and a willingness and the capability to work across therapeutic areas.
  • Good understanding of the drug discovery and development process.
  • Good publication record in international peer reviewed journals.
  • Capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Track record of successful collaborations/ building partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
