The District Manager (DM), Cardiometabolic will be responsible for hiring, leading, developing and retaining the Cardiometabolic field team in an assigned geographic district including Medical Specialists Cardiometabolic. The DM is responsible for ensuring strong and consistent sales performance that exceeds forecast and expectations relating to product goals and driving accountability for all results throughout the Cardiometabolic District assigned. The DM will work closely with their counterpart(s) at Sanofi to insure full cooperation and transparency within the district; DM/DM, CMS/CMS as well as collaboration with resource partners; Reimbursement and Access Specialists, Clinical Nurse Educators and Home Office personnel within the collaboration. The DM will work closely with Training and Development to insure appropriate development of personnel within the district designed to continue to facilitate growth in the commercial organization. This work will be based on the principles of the ASPIRE, the Career Ladders program and the Career Lattices program. The DM will accomplish this in a complaint manner with a high degree of integrity strictly following all Regeneron policies and in compliance with all policies and procedures governing the promotion of pharmaceutical and biologic products in the US.

A core responsibility of all members of the alirocumab field will be coordination and collaboration with all of the resources within the combined REGN / Sanofi field team. This includes each direct counterpart; DM/DM, CMS/CMS as well as collaboration with resource partners; Reimbursement and Access Specialists, Clinical Nurse Educators and Home Office personnel.

-Recruits, hires, develops, retains and leads a district of Medical Specialist Cardiometabolic targeting Cardiometabolic Specialists and other key Cardiometabolic health care providers to ensure strong, consistent performance that consistently exceed brand objectives and product sales goals while consistently demonstrating accountability for all results

• Establishes District business plans to achieve goals, and effectively allocate; financial, human and corporate resources within regulatory and ethical guidelines
-In collaboration with Sanofi counterparts, leads initiatives to support sales success (e.g. industry related congresses, medical conferences, promotional Speaker Programs, unbranded patient initiatives etc.)
-Drives the development and execution of account based Business plans by Medical Specialists, Cardiometabolic consistent with business and customer needs

• Establish time in accordance with Regional Business Director (RBD), Cardiometabolic, dedicated to field work interacting with Experts in Cardiometabolic in the office setting and attending National and regional congresses and meetings including weekend travel. Field work should focus on assessing customer and field needs, reviewing objectives, coaching, and performance management with Medical Specialists, Cardiometabolic
-Builds and sustains strong working relationships with National, Regional and Local clinical experts in the Cardiometabolic field.
-Serves as a leader for Regeneron initiatives to address strategic business/marketing/targeting planning and execution
-Develops and supports strong relationships with all customers involved in getting product to patients
- Consistently executes training programs with the field sales team that insures that they are viewed by their customers as the top scientific experts in the Cardiometabolic field
-Develops and executes strategies and tactics with key customers to ensure productivity of district and organization

• In collaboration with Sanofi and Regional Business Director (RBD), Cardiometabolic, develops and executes Incentive Compensation plan for field team in accordance with corporate objectives and within REGN guidelines in a compliant manner

• Develops strong working relationships with both external/internal colleagues - physicians, nurses, additional important health care providers, key patient advocacy support groups, collaboration and district teammates, Reimbursement and Access Specialist team, Clinical Educator team, Marketing, MHC, Training, Trade
-Partner with multiple internal stakeholders to proactively analyze and address customer needs,market dynamics and trends that support brand and collaboration objectives
- Promptly and proactively addresses development needs of Medical Specialists, Cardiometabolic
-Monitors field activity and any instances of suspected noncompliance by Medical Specialists, Cardiometabolic, engages Compliance and/or Human Resources as necessary
-Proactively communicates important industry and competitive intelligence to internal and collaboration teams, including product teams

• Analyzes sales and customer data to ensure the effective deployment of resources throughout the regions and nation

• Maximize district budget to support execution of strategies and tactics where needed


ducation and Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree mandatory, Master's degree or other advanced education / certification is a plus (Focused degree in science or clinical experience is a plus)
Work Experience:

o Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience with 3 years of sales leadership/management in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales required
o Experience in Cardiovascular / Lipids sales leadership, or other specialized sub-cutaneous self-injectable biologics markets experience such as; Retina, Oncology, Immunology or Inflammation required
-Successful record of hiring, coaching, developing, promoting, and retaining top talent within span of control
-Demonstrates strong leadership skills
o Proven success and positive track record of performance with a high degree of integrity as a District Sales Manager in complex markets within complex systems required
-Led district team focused on delivering products in complex disease-state markets with diverse customer segments
-Strong disease-state/product knowledge with an ability to learn and adapt quickly to remain current on healthcare/disease-state trends
-Demonstrated ability to function effectively and lead district team in an evolving organization without traditional infrastructures
-Demonstrated ability to function effectively and lead regional teams in a collaboration environment where field teams and resource partners share customer contacts
o Demonstrated ability to hold self and others accountable for action and results within Regeneron corporate policies setting high expectations of integrity and compliance for self and others
-Outstanding leadership skills and history of building and leading high performing teams
o Ability to analyze sales and other relevant market data to formulate strategic plans and execute plans for success

• Strong understanding of Payer environment, reimbursement and challenges within National, Regional and local payer market including; government programs, managed health care and and evolving health care systems
o Proven ability and success in developing physician/customer clinical experts in a Regional scope required
