Summary:
The Director, Oncology Customer Insights, will be accountable for the design, implementation, and analysis of the results of studies in order to assess customer needs and to gather insights about healthcare markets. The person in this role will skillfully utilize market research tools and techniques to assist Marketing and Market Access teams in the development of marketing, access, and sales strategies. This position requires broad expertise in study design and interpretation as well as a broad understanding of secondary data tools and analyses. The Director, Oncology Customer Insights, will design and execute research and analyses to support pre-launch strategic development of LIBTAYO and early pipeline oncology assets (pre-clinical through Phase II), as well as develop and manage market research plans and budgets. This individual will analyze competition and identify potential marketing opportunities and threats, as well as participate in forecasting products and markets.
The person in this role will have responsibility to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Oncology disease state, and will be accountable to apply that understanding to the creation of a fully integrated market research plan capable of supporting a brand strategy, from early inception through launch. The role will also have oversight of all customer insights activities on Libtayo and pipeline Oncology assets.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for conducting market research studies to assess the needs, behaviors and attitudes of key customer groups.
- Establishing best-in-class customer insights capabilities in the Oncology CBU.
- Translation of business issues and questions into concise market research objectives and market research studies with clear and specific deliverables.
- Responsible for identifying and addressing brand issues and for managing all market research projects in support of the brand strategy, product promotion, and evaluation of new market opportunities.
- Identification of current and future product, market, and customer information needs through primary and/or secondary market research.
- Creation of a plan by which to measure performance against critical success factors.
- Selection and management of market research suppliers to execute and analyze research results.
- Interpretation of the results provided by consultants and suppliers and presentation of findings and insights to business teams and members of senior management.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders in Commercial Marketing and Sales leadership, Market Access, Finance and Planning, Program Management, Medical Affairs and Business Development.
- Build and manage for growth: Hire, develop or mentor, and retain direct reports, create long term succession plan.

Requirements:
12+ Years' progressive, related industry experience required.

New Product launch experience.
Prior Oncology market experience required.
Strong and demonstrated knowledge of Secondary Data (US and Global) tools and ability to utilize these tools to answer business questions.
Experience working in an alliance setting.
US and Global market research experience.
Strong experience conducting studies among Patients, Healthcare Providers, and Payers in a healthcare/ pharma/ biotech setting.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Ability to translate complex findings and insights from research studies into actionable recommendations for business teams.

Biologics/ injectable agents experience a plus

Bachelor's Degree required.
