Summary:

The Director of Advanced Analytics builds and evolves a team of business and quantitative personnel and analytical capabilities to serve sales and marketing customers with advice and other decision support, so that brand performance improves as a result of evidenced-based research and interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Build, coach and maintain a highly performing team of quantitative and business-minded individuals that collectively distill business insights from commercial data sources.

• Manage the Analytics budget for the department.

• Establish and continually evolve the analytical strategy considering platforms, standards and toolsets required to not only meet current traditional analytic practices but also seek out evolving analytic solutions that bring increased business value to Regeneron, such as marketing mix, segmentation, targeting/alignment, etc.

• Resource-manage analytical projects across all commercial brands to ensure that analytic needs are met with appropriate resources that consistently deliver on time.

• Relationship-manage partnerships with Alliance analytical groups to establish and tune ways of working with optimal, efficient collaboration.

• Identify, select and manage a group of trusted analytical vendor partners who can be accessed in cases where their unique skills are the best solution, or as a supplement to deliver outsourced project work in times of peak demand.

• Continually evaluate the needs of the business and make budgetary recommendations on spend changes with regard to personnel, data, vendors or planned analysis.

• Develop relationships with other internal organizations as necessary to ensure the downstream flow of information and data to the team.

• Cultivate relationships with internal customer organizations to ensure Advanced Analytics is understood as the primary commercial performance analysis organization.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate cross-functional analysis and data acquisition.

• Continually update knowledge of industry data sources that could be used to improve Regeneron's commercial analysis.

Requirements

• BS/BA required. Advanced degree in a quantitative subject (e.g. Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics) preferred

• 12+ years' progressive, related industry experience with a minimum 7 years analytical experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a consultative role.

• Commercial business intelligence tool report creation experience required (any, but e.g.: QlikView, Tableau, Oracle BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Spotfire)

• SAS code-writing skills (BASE, STAT, SQL, Macros) preferred, SQL query-writing preferred.

• In-depth knowledge and data mining experience using secondary subnational prescription and sales data required. Experience with longitudinal patient, specialty pharmacy/ hub data strongly preferred. Familiarity with frequently used pharma data sources like IQVIA, Symphony, etc. strongly preferred

• Experience in resource optimization, commercial mix modeling or alignment, targeting, and call planning highly preferred

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, and PowerPoint required

• Presentation skills to take sophisticated analysis and apply a business context for non-analytical associates required
