Sr. Manager, Leadership & Organizational Development

The Sr. Manager, Leadership & Organizational Development acts as an L&OD expert as well as an internal consultant supporting the areas of Leader Development. This position will work as part of a dynamic L&OD team to build, align, integrate and execute programs & processes as part of the strategic HR strategy at Regeneron.

This position will play a key role in building the leadership capability needed to support Regeneron's rapid growth by designing and delivering practical, creative, and effective leadership development strategies and supporting offerings across all levels of leadership. Specifically, this position will be responsible for partnering with the Director of Leadership Development to deliver a variety of existing leadership development programs, in the identification of leadership development needs, both now and in the future, designing programs that both close the current leadership gaps as well as building future leadership capability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver leadership development programs for both managerial and non-managerial staff.
  • Serve as a learning resource for the broader organization. More specifically, this role will help the business and other key stakeholders understand adult learning theory and how to set up and sustain impactful leadership development.
  • Leverage a wide variety of training delivery options (e-learning, instructor led, experiential, etc.) to deliver engaging and quality programs.
  • Identify and/or support vendors that can support global leadership development programs. Manage those relationships to maximize the impact of their programs and assess overall effectiveness and business impact.
  • Identify specific techniques and practices that managers can use to reinforce concepts in key areas of learning and development.
  • Collaborate with L&OD colleagues to create a set of metrics designed to measure effectiveness and impact of leadership development programs.
  • Work with the Director, Leadership Development to drive a consistent set of global expectations for people leaders and innovate programs to support development opportunities for all levels of leaders.
  • Collaborate with the global L&OD team to support department-wide goals including coaching, team building, employee engagement, culture refresh, career development and talent management.


Requirements:
  • Masters degree in OD/IO/BA or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing and delivering leadership and management programs. Expertise in developing leaders at all levels in a global organization.
  • Excellent project management skills including planning, logistics, program management, and scheduling.
  • Ability to scale content to meet the global demands as well as needs of the level of the learner.
  • Understands the 70-20-10 model of development and can recommend/support experiences that help leaders develop.
  • History of building and maintaining positive relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with other subject matter experts and business leaders.
  • Ability to influence and educate leaders on leadership development including the purpose of leadership development, the role leaders play in developing other leaders, and the activities needed to support effective leadership development.
  • Self-motivated and directed. Can effectively cope with change and can shift gears comfortably.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, with proven ability to assess competing priorities in a high energy, fast paced environment.
  • Strong client-service and results orientation.
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to facilitate content to multiple audience levels.

Job requires minimal travel to business sites (Albany, NY, Sleepy Hollow, NY, Basking Ridge, NY, Ireland).
