Role description
Research Associate/ Scientist – Gene Editing Assay Development
The position focuses on testing GenEdit’s novel polymer nanoparticles in vitro. We are seeking a highly self-motivated and goal-oriented biologist with extensive experience in assay development and gene editing. Experience with nanoparticles and primary cell culture is plus.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of genomics and therapeutics and participate in the development of a transformative technology. The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative, resourceful and effective team-player who is enthusiastic to tackle challenging scientific and technical problems.
Desired skill sets
- Experience in assay development, cell biological assays and screening is required
- Experience in Sanger sequencing, ddPCR, deep sequencing is plus
- Experience in primary cell culture or nanoparticle is plus
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with mRNA, CRISPR/Cas9, or other types of protein delivery is plus
- Working knowledge of applicable biology background for relevant therapeutic areas of rare genetic disorder is a plus
- Highly motivated scientist with particular attention to detail and the ability to independently plan, design and implement experiments
- Work cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams and present results at team meetings

BS or equivalent education with 3-6+ years of relevant experience
