Summary:
The Senior Director, Commercial Excellence is an individual contributor role that serves as the custodian for embedding Commercial Excellence within the commercial organization. The primary objectives of the role are to provide the following:
- Partner with Insights and Analytics and the Commercial Business Units to link insights to brands.
- Develop and execute a marketing excellence curriculum inclusive of training, common language and resources toolkit.
- Oversight of the framework for Regeneron brand planning and the Patient Journey.
- Creation of digital online environment planning inclusive of customer insight and understanding.

Responsibilities:
Marketing Excellence Curriculum
1) Partner with Commercial Training and Development to create a comprehensive marketing excellence training curriculum for new hires and in-role marketers.
2) Identify learning gaps in existing marketing training resources by conducting a needs assessment that will inform the design and development of the marketing excellence training curriculum.
3) Ensure the curriculum teaches brand teams on how to identify, prioritize, and activate opportunities based on pertinent market insights. Examples - How to ask the right questions, how to determine who is the customer, how to breakdown silos, how to stakeholder manage.
4) Develop a common marketing language and resources toolkit.

Patient Journey:
5) Devise the Core Process relative to the actual methodology used to determine market situation, buying process, segmentation and leveraging of the Patient Journey.
6) Develop the linkage to insights in order to help create positioning, segmentation, appropriate buying process and leverage points with the patient journey.

Brand Planning:
7) Spearhead the development and implementation of the Brand Planning Framework where shared language, processes, and outputs are a standard used across all CBUs.
8) Devise and implement a Commercial-Brand Planning calendar connecting key Marketing stage gates and Alliance alignment.

Digital Online Environment:
9) Create digital on-line planning framework inclusive of various technologies (iPhone, website, pharmacy kiosks).
10) Ensure framework outlines how to determine HCP and patient engagement with brands and disease states.
Requirements:

• MBA preferred, Bachelor's required.

• Specialization in Marketing preferred

• 5+ years overseeing Commercial Excellence inclusive of strategic choice framework and marketing training curriculums.

• 5+ years of digital online experience or equivalent.

Required

• 15 years of marketing experience with a focus in a pharmaceutical or Consumer Product Goods setting.

• Prior experience in patient, consumer and physician engagement strategies.

• Prior experience working closely with Customer Insights & Analytics.

• Prior experience managing a change process/campaign.

• Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders required.

• Prior experience sharing organizational and outside-in best practices.

• Prior experience coaching teams.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

• Excellent presentation skills required, including experience presenting to senior management.
