Research Associate, Antibody Therapeutics Purification

One of the top growing biotechs in the East Bay are seeking a strong candidate with antibody experience. Our client is developing key breakthroughs in immunotherapy treatments focusing on the individual patient.

The Research Associate, Antibody Therapeutics Purification will support preclinical work on the generation and testing of monospecific and bispecific antibody therapeutic drug candidates. The successful candidate will contribute to the generation of antibody-related molecules through purification and analytical methodologies.

Minimum Education/Experience
BA or MS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related field

Skills:
Strong expertise in developing and implementing antibody purification methods and analyzing byproduct and final product. Ability to independently design and execute experiments. Intense “can do” startup mentality and motivation.

Experience:
• ≥4 years laboratory experience in academic or industry required.
• Experience with preparative column chromatography, including protein A, ion exchange, mixed mode resins and/or SEC required.
• Experience with HPLC, SDS-PAGE, and endotoxin testing required. Experience with IEF, CGE, light scattering, and calorimetry desirable.
• Significant track record of accomplishment as evidenced by contributions to publications.
