Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and protein chemist at a Research Associatelevel to join the Antigen expression and purification group. The candidate will be expected to work on a variety of antigen projects to express and purify novel antigens for antibody generation and assays.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Participate in design and optimization of antigen expression constructs.
• Express and purify antigens using variety of expression systems (E.coli, baculovirus, mammalian)
• Purify antigens using various chromatography methods
• Analyze antigens using analytical chromatography methods.
• Perform experiments with strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Excellent written and oral skills are necessary.
• Accomplish goals under project team time lines.
Requirements:
• BS degree with 5+ years of industry experience or MS degree with 2+ years of industry experience. The degree should be in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular and Cell Biology, or similar field.
• Experience in generation and characterization of protein antigens.
• Strong expertise in protein expression, purification, and characterization.
• Experience and knowledge in molecular biology is a plus.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary biologics discovery team.
