Initiating a project

• Lead Training Business Partners to scope and estimate training project support requirements.

• Ensure resource availability and allocation.

• In collaboration with the Training Business Partners, develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring accurate timelines.

• Work with Training Business Partners to convert training requirements into a training plan.

• Work with Global Development Training Business Partners to track and maintain detailed training project plans.

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

• Determine how results will be measured; complete post-project evaluations to assess results

Communication and Collaboration on a project:

• Manage the relationship with key internal stakeholders on projects, the Global Development Training team and vendors.

• Create, maintain, and communicate project status and schedule from initiation to release.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and milestones.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to align with integrated project plans.

• Manage handover to Training Coordinator and LMS Admin to ensure successful deployment to agreed plan.

Managing and Monitoring a Project:

• Create project schedules, communication plans, meeting schedules, and agendas

• Use appropriate project management tools and verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

• Guard against scope creep.

• Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Report and escalate to management as appropriate.

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

• Work with Training Business Partners to maintain and document high-level project scope, goals, and deliverables.

• Proactively lead and motivate team members.

• Act as mediator between team members and with external stakeholders when conflicts related to the project arise.

• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

• Apply project management principles, processes, and tools to ensure on time and on budget delivery of training projects and clear communication with all involved stakeholders

Requirements:

• Experienced project management professional, with background in training/L&D

• Experience in a matrixed organization, which includes engaging remote stakeholders and team members

• Experience of full project lifecycle - from project initiation to project close

• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, including remote project stakeholders and participants

• Organizational awareness and political savvy as well as sound judgment

• High degree of commitment and resilience

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Consulting experience highly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tracking tools.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
