The Target Information Group offers a unique internship opportunity to learn and contribute to this exciting discovery process in the field of infectious diseases. Beginning with a broad perspective of infectious agents, the intern will investigate a specific topic of personal interest. To complete his/her project, the intern will work closely with the Target Information team and scientists across the company and will use public databases and custom tools to compile information on disease biology, current therapies, and possible molecular/cellular targets. At the end of the project, the intern will review, present and discuss the completed work with company scientists. The successful candidate is expected to have a great interest in biomedical research and be keen to learn about unfamiliar biology. She/he will also have the strategic and organizational skills to track down relevant information and document search strategies and results.
