TA Lead, Patient Centric Clinical Development, Immunology

Accountable for leading the strategic planning and oversight of TA-aligned programmatic patient experience data generation plans in close collaboration and partnership with broad cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, GCD, MABI, PCI, HEOR) ensuring a comprehensive and integrated data generation plan. Accountable for translating patient experience insights into program and enterprise solutions with a goal of improving clinical trial awareness and access, improving the patient and investigator clinical trial experience and informing the clinical development plans. The position will be accountable for the TA-aligned strategic direction and oversight of the Patient-Centric Clinical Development function through development of a multi-year strategy, and driving continuous improvement in organizational performance to achieve world class clinical execution across the AbbVie portfolio.

• Effectively leads the broad cross functional development of industry-leading patient experience data generation plans and leveraging cutting-edge resources and practices applied across the clinical development portfolio, and ensuring that plans are executed to achieve program and study commitments
• Leads the cross-functional organization to establish effective TA-aligned programmatic patient-and investigator-centric strategies to build for future success within the AbbVie core pillars.
• Champions the application of patient- and investigator-centric thinking within the Clinical Development organization, ensuring that all programs are regularly seeking and incorporating insights from key external stakeholders in clinical development and study planning
• Accountable for long-range resource planning, budgeting to meet the needs of R&D and drive cost efficiencies
• Serves as the TA-aligned R&D expert on industry best practices related to patient-focused drug development and patient and investigator engagement in clinical development.
• May represent AbbVie at external conferences regarding patient and investigator engagement.
• Fosters a culture of continuous process improvement
• Growth and development of direct reports.
• Ensures global compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, typically in a scientific or (para) medical field required. Advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in market research preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of pharma-related/ clinical research experience (and/or applicable work experience)
• 8 years + of project leadership experience, demonstrating technical and leadership competencies.
• Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional global team environment with experience in managing virtual teams and an ability to influence and align stakeholders, and be a model and driver of AbbVie's leadership attributes.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives and drive smart decision making. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate persuasively and with clarity, flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements, resourcefulness and creativity
• Demonstration of successful execution of program in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
