Associate Scientist Position or Research Associate position

Inception Sciences is seeking a dynamic scientist to work as part of a project team to identify lead compounds and advance programs towards clinical development in the context of oncology and auto-immune diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of biochemical and cellular assays and actively participating in drug discovery projects. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree with over 5 years' experience in developing in vitro assays in biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• In depth knowledge of, and hands-on experience with cell based assay development
  • Including but not limited to; in vitro reporter assay, cell imaging, enzymatic assays, RT-PCR, flow cytometry.
•  Evaluate drug candidates in biochemical, enzymatic, cell-based assays.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team efforts through leading specific parts of the project.

• Present regular research updates to project teams. 

• Strong understanding of drug development.

• Experience supporting the development of small molecules, biologics and/or other therapies.

• Strong organizational and problem solving abilities.

• High level of initiative, independence, and ability to work unsupervised.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong commitment to business ethics.

• Excellent oral and written communication.

• Must be flexible and open to new tasks and challenges.

• Execute with precise attention to detail.

• Good record keeping and attention to detail essential.

• Must be proficient with computers and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Prism Graph Pad, PowerPoint.
