The company is preparing to launch Toca 511 & Toca FC in recurrent high grade gliomas in next 2 years.

Sr. Manager, Commercial Planning / Operations R esponsibilities:

  • Managing day to day operational activities for the commercial and medical affairs group. He/she will be a point person to work with the functional heads (market access, sales, marketing, business operations and medical affairs) to set the agenda and reviews for the department on regular basis.
  • Managing and running the MLR process in conjunction with external vendor to review all promotional materials and all medical affairs scientific communications. He/she will also be a point person with regulatory to fulfill all regulatory submissions in accordance with the FDA guidelines.
  • Manage the group review cycle meetings, annual business planning process, oversight on the department budget. Design the agenda and participate in key planning meetings throughout the process.
  • Chief of staff for the department and manage any special projects.

Skills and Experience:
  • BA or BS degree required with a preference in the Life Sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industry (pharma preferred). Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry. Working in oncology or specialty a plus.
  • Previous experience in business planning and managing functional budgets.
  • Strong ability to work in cross-functional team environments and to collaboratively build agreement on vision / approach.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Working for an executive as a chief of staff a plus.
  • High level of proficiency with spreadsheet and/or database applications (Excel/Access)
  • Uses a disciplined problem-solving approach.
  • Resourceful; able to quickly define and implement a change in approach to meet business needs, and still address stated priorities.
  • Enjoys working hard and looks for challenges.
  • Able to act and react with speed even if limited information is available. Not afraid to take charge of a situation when trouble comes; can overcome resistance and influence others when necessary.
  • Express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively; listens to and responds appropriately to others.


Management of Staff :
  • Individual Contributor role initially.
