Summary
We are looking for an R&D Specialist to join the Protein Expression Sciences team. One of the primary goals of the PES team is Antibody discovery to support all therapeutic focus areas. The role will be responsible for the operation of automated liquid handlers to support our VelociMab antibody discovery efforts. This position will have high exposure to automated technologies (liquid handling robots, automated capillary electrophoresis) and high-throughput molecular and cell biology processes.

  • Operation of PerkinElmer LabChip Gx instruments

  • Plasmid subcloning

  • Data recording in ELN (electronic lab notebook) and LIMS

Requirements
This position requires a minimum of a B.S or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biology or related field, with 2+ years of laboratory experience, post-degree. In addition to experience with liquid handling platforms, the successful candidate will have experience with general molecular biology and cell biology techniques. This experience must include skills such PCR, Next Generation Sequencing, mutagenesis, plasmid subcloning and mammalian cell transfection. Familiarity with automated liquid handlers is desired (preferably Hamilton Star). Experience in high-throughput assays is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills are also required. Candidates should also be able to multitask, and comfortably deal with changes in priroity.
