This position could support any of the groups across our Pre-Clinical Manufacturing and Process Development effort.
The various subgroups within the department are as follows:

Cell Culture Development: Screen and identify top tier candidate biologics, select cell lines, develop new methodologies and processes for cell line medium and feed, and optimize cell culture processes for clinical and commercial manufacturing products. Includes supporting technology transfer to GMP manufacturing.

Bioreactor Scale-Up and Development: Cultivate mammalian cells for production of biologics using bench and pilot scale bioreactors, characterize scalability of clinical and commercial processes, analyze data, troubleshoot processes and equipment, develop process controls. Includes supporting technology transfers to GMP manufacturing.

Purification Development: Design, optimize, and characterize purification strategies for biologic medicines from preclinical through licensure. Includes supporting technology transfer to GMP manufacturing.

Process Development Analytics: Positions in process analytics team focus on the development, optimization and running of assays that support characterization of pre-clinical and clinical processes for both upstream (cell culture & medium development) and downstream (purification) functions.

Technology Transfer & Logistics: Using project management tools and techniques, coordinate and optimize departmental business operations within PMPD and with other customers throughout REGN. Lead process transfers of clinical protein candidates to our clinical and commercial production teams, provide financial forecasting & data analyses to identify resource constraints and optimization.

Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development is seeking candidates with a minimum of a BS (MS welcome to apply) in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology /Biochemistry, GPA of at least 3.0; 3.4 preferred. Use knowledge and experience to solve problems and promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge in all directions. Applicant should exhibit analytical and critical thinking, ability to work effectively within a team environment, and comfort working within tight or rapidly evolving timelines are all part of the job.
