Cell Processing Scientist
As a member of the Miltenyi Biotec team, you will be responsible for completing all CliniMACS Prodigy® cell processing activities and producing cells for research use. Within this role, you will be responsible for the isolation of requested target cell populations from Commercial Leukopacks on the CliniMACS Prodigy®. You will also provide lab support in keeping proper maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and maintaining accurate record keeping of experimental procedures and barcoding of all cryopreserved cells. Overall, your exceptional skills and attention to detail will guarantee the successful completion of individual and team task and goals in a timely manner, which ultimately will drive the continuous success of Miltenyi Biotec as a whole.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field of study and at least 2 years’ experience post college as a lab technician
• Ability to operate a computer with Windows™ operating system, Outlook™ email, internet, and basic MS Office™ products such as Word and Excel.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

This job is performed in a temperature controlled facility without exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Generally, this job is performed in a sanitized laboratory setting and routinely uses standard medical and research equipment such as centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, microscopes, incubators, pipettes and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues. Employees entering and leaving the laboratory must wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment such as scrubs, coveralls, masks, glasses and gloves. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
