Summary
Seeking a motivated Research Associate to join a highly interactive immunology team. Conducts experiments, predominantly of basic immunology and basic lab techniques. Troubleshoots methodological and technical issues, interprets experimental data and literature, and communicates results to supervisor, department, or project team. Helps create a safe, effective, and efficient working environment. The preferred candidate will have training in the proper handling and care of mice, general surgical techniques, and the collection of blood and tissue samples. Experience in tissue culture (maintenance of transformed and primary cells), cell-based assays, ELISA, and MSD are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze data and interpret results of experiments within the context of research project goals, and work closely with supervisor to prepare and deliver effective oral presentations and papers in the area of expertise during internal and external meetings. Other expectations include maintenance of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, and accurate and complete records. Basic computer literacy and experience collecting and analyzing biological data on the computer are required. Candidates will need to be highly
organized, flexible and motivated.

Responsibilities
*Must have experience working with mice with training in the proper handling and care of mice,
general surgical techniques, and the collection of blood and tissue samples.
*Must have experience with ELISAs & preferred experience with MSDs
*Preferred experience analyzing biological data using GraphPad Prism, SoftMax Pro, and
Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) Discovery Workbench software.
*Experience in interpreting, analyzing and presenting research data and working in fast-paced,
result oriented research environment and inter-departmental collaborations.

• Contribute to lab and equipment maintenance and order supplies/reagents to help create a
safe, effective and efficient working environment.

• Contribute to project advancement by developing new methods or technologies and
troubleshooting
Requirements
Seeking a motivated Research Associate with at least 1-4 years of experience in inflammation, allergy, autoimmunity or mouse models to join a highly interactive immunology team.
The preferred candidate will have training in the proper handling and care of mice, general surgical techniques, and the collection of blood and tissue samples.
The ideal candidate must have experience in ELISA with preferred experience in MesoScale Discovery technology.
The candidate will be required to analyze data and interpret results of experiments within the context of research project goals, and work closely with supervisor to prepare and deliver effective oral presentations and papers in the area of expertise during internal and external meetings. Other expectations include maintenance of
state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, and accurate and complete records.
Basic computer and experience collecting and analyzing biological data on the computer is a necessity. Preferred experience with GraphPad Prism, FACS DIVA software, FlowJo, or SoftMax Pro.
Candidates will need to be highly organized, flexible and motivated.
Bachelors Degree required
