The Financial Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing audits and reconciliation of speaker programs to ensure data is accurate and compliant with AbbVie's OPPFs, procedures, and CFMs. This is accomplished by monitoring event data submitted by third-party vendor(s) and confirming data feeds accurately into our internal systems for use primarily in federal/state transparency reporting.

This position works closely with Field Operations, Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC), CA&O Compliance Operations, Field Sales Reps, and Logistical Vendors. The Financial Compliance Analyst leads the monitoring process of 15,000+ speaker programs completed throughout the year, completes quarterly analytics, and supports current relationship with third-party vendor(s) ensuring accurate and timely reporting of HCP data.

Key Responsibilities Includes:

  • Establishes and meets deadlines with minimal supervision and balances workload requirements to ensure key tight reporting milestones are met. Focuses attention on detail and compliance to OPPF guidelines, financial policies and federal/state transparency laws.
  • Lead monthly review of monitoring results and metrics to understand key drivers. Analyze data for trends and propose corrective actions.
  • Cross functional member with OEC to create monitoring governances across speaker program areas of responsibility.
  • Look for ways to streamline processes to allow for efficient data correction and improved data quality.
    Consistently initiates and implements process improvements across departments and work groups.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the monitoring policies and procedures.
  • Manage monitoring requirements by ensuring review completed in a timely manner. Work with TPVs to meet timelines and provide appropriate documentation ensuring data is tied out between TPVs portal and Abbvie systems.
  • Support efforts to define requirements to ensure third-party vendor (TPV) is properly trained to understand programs and reporting requirements including development of analysis templates, training of TPVs, creation of job aids, and video tutorial opportunities
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines with accurately reported data.
  • Complete weekly analysis on specific speaker program topics, such as ensure timely closure of programs is within TPVs contract, Meals Over Guideline, and Potential Duplicate Data.
  • Ensure correct reporting for all Transfer of Value (TOV) from AbbVie to the reportable Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and Teaching Hospitals (HCOs) for US Commercial.
  • Develops and proposes solutions to ambiguous problems.
  • Support/research HCP Dispute Resolution, transparency and audit related questions.
  • Listens actively to acquire information and understand others' viewpoint. Initiates and cultivates open, honest, and beneficial relationships with colleagues and customers by establishing rapport, developing an understanding of others' needs, and promoting common goals.
  • System knowledgeable in MARs, DataMart, AggSpend 360, iSight and Rapid Zone usage.


SCOPE:

  • Detail oriented and demonstrates good organizational and problem solving skills. Exhibits good oral and written communication skills. Must be adaptable and able to work in dynamic environment with frequently changing rules and priorities.
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of integrity and be able to consistently enforce CFMs and OPPFs using Clear and Courageous behaviors.
  • Possess good presentation, analytical, and collaborative skills in addition to an understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
  • Understands and applies complex concepts and facilitates interpretation and understanding of data.
  • Identifies risks, proposes recommendations and solutions to issues and implements solution for problem resolution.


Basic:
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Knowledge of Regulations and Standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products.
  • Prior audit and system implementation experience a plus.
  • Excel experience along with Word/Power Point/Access experience. Able to quickly learn or possess experience with AggSpend 360, DataMart, Rapid Zone, etc.
