Responsibilities
The FING Package Material Coordinator is part of the Packaging Function and is responsible for coordinating FING packaging at Collaboration Partners (CPs) based on the schedule generated by the FING Pkg Plant Planner. The FING Package Material Coordinator works closely with the FING Package Plant Planner and is responsible for the execution of the packaging orders for each molecule/study. The FING packaging Material Coordinator is responsible for process order execution and purchase requisition to purchase order conversions. Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Partners with the FING pkg plant planner to understand schedule and priorities; partners with quality and CPs for order execution activities
  • Partners with the CT Supply Planning organization to understand demand and prepare for workload.
  • Completes RFPs' requests shopping cart PO for any non-material payments needed (e.g. services, tooling)
  • Completes VCFs' request for Process Orders
  • Completes steps on pkg process order (via PI sheet and enters phase completion)
  • Completes label print order extraction
  • Monitors component inventory levels at CP for orders and works with Packaging Materials Movement Associate to replenish as needed
  • Converts pkg and label purchase requisitions to purchase orders; enters order details; releases POs
  • Reviews pre-batch records including label variable text (e.g., LINKS/RANDS) as required
  • Resolves order specific issues with CPs; manages order specific deviations investigation as needed. Acts as the first line of defense and can utilize their Management or technical experts for more systemic or complex issues.
  • Upon order completion, performs SAP goods receipt; reconciles discrepancies between goods receipt and CP invoice
  • Receive invoices and confirm they meet/match the quote(s)
  • Order specific process improvements
  • Communicates stock availability to CP; monitors delivery due list and notifies CP
  • Creates outbound delivery and, if needed, performs goods issue in SAP on behalf of CP
  • Must be knowledgeable on how to apply GMPs in a clinical trial environment and review and follow procedures applicable to the CT business. In addition, individual training plans must be kept up to date.

Basic Qualifications
  • B.S. in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1 year in a GMP environment
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

  • Some work outside of core hours may be required to support the portfolio
  • This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.
