AbbVie is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager who will lead a team of four Talent Acquisition professionals, create hiring strategies and fill key leadership roles within the R&D scientific organization.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Lead a team of talent acquisition professionals accountable for hiring all levels within the Discovery and Development Sciences functions, developing the team to be Talent Advisors for the organization as it relates to recruiting
  • Collaborates with Human Resource partners, business leaders and HR Centers of Expertise (Total Rewards, HR Operations, Benefits) to understand skill requirements, organizational fit, experience needed, and what can be done to create fair and competitive employment offers
  • Based on market knowledge/research, external network and existing internal programs, the Talent Acquisition Manager will provide comprehensive internal and external recruitment strategies to source, attract and hire the best talent in the scientific communities and within the biopharma industry
  • Sets and manages expectations of hiring executives
  • Identifies and resolves issues pro-actively
  • Maintain statistics on new hires - source of hire, diversity, etc., ensuring quality and integrity of data

  • 5+ years of full lifecycle recruitment experience in a competitive, fast paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Strong track record of sourcing and recruiting in the Healthcare/Life Sciences market preferred
  • Prior staff management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong assessment skills to assess candidate's business capabilities, technical background and key behaviors
  • Strong skills in driving and owning the TA process ensuring candidate and client management satisfaction
  • Professional, accountable, high energy and collaborative team player
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build professional relations across all levels of the business, including strong business acumen with Senior Executives
