The Director of HCP Marketing will report to the Head of Marketing and be responsible for establishing and directing all HCP marketing for the purpose of ensuring company growth, product development and profitability. Essential responsibilities include working cross functionally: developing business plans including marketing strategies, issues analysis, vision, sales budget, objectives and lifecycle recommendations for assigned brands and managing the development of all promotional materials for assigned products. Overall, this position will be involved with all aspects of healthcare professional marketing including tactical execution. In addition, the A.D., oversees and conducts market research to determine product sales potential and develop marketing strategies and must analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and implement recommendations that support department goals and objectives. This position will be involved with all aspects of healthcare professional marketing including tactical execution. In addition, the AD participates in establishing annual and long-term corporate sales forecasts and promotional budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the HCP marketing of two travel vaccines: Vaxchora ® and Vivotif ®
  • Drive the development and execution of marketing plans that will enable the brands to exceed its volume targets, share targets, revenue targets and overall business objectives
  • Ensure complete and timely implementation of all aspects of the of the tactical marketing plan by utilizing excellent knowledge of health care marketing fundamentals
  • Lead the development of market research projects by identifying information gaps, building recommendations, and executing plans to fill the information voids
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Develop superior customer-focused and innovative initiatives to maximize product sales
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the U.S. market for Vaxchora and Vivotif and propose appropriate measures
  • Analyzes the business and competitive environment on a continual basis, using strong data and sound judgment to make recommendations to better meet short and long-term business goals
  • Responsible for a productive, problem solving and value generating relationship with sales, medical affairs (as appropriate), regulatory and legal as it relates to key brand initiatives
  • Understands and adheres to all internal and external compliance policies that govern promotional activities


Qualification Requirements

 

  • Professional who consistently demonstrates strong moral character that includes desire for accountability
  • BA/BS with 10+ years of work experience with a combination of pharmaceutical/vaccine sales and pharmaceutical/vaccine healthcare marketing - product launch experience a plus
  • Familiarity with hospitals, clinics, physicians, educational institutions or health departments as customers
  • Strategic thinking capabilities with understanding of fundamentals of brand management
  • Experience managing multiple outside agencies by providing clear, concise direction and holding them accountable to excellence
  • Highly collaborative working style with an ability to influence others
  • Superior work ethic that includes working with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Excellent organizational skills that enable the successful execution of multiple simultaneous projects
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to work across functions and teams
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills - ability to access or analyze a situation and derive optimal path for action
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Occasional travel (up to 25%)
