Key Responsibilities
  • Anticipate needs of the VCT and ensure right internal and external expertise is present.
  • Version control of inputs and documents for VCT, BDVC, and EDRC.
  • Understand implications and impacts of changes to the inputs and cascade as necessary.
  • First point of escalation for any collaboration or completion slippage to the BDVC.
  • Story board deal specifics and the relationship with other BD opportunities.
  • Manage against governance and processes (e.g., timelines) ad measures performance using tools and techniques.
  • Manage BD project reviews.
  • Deploy to BD Opportunity teams to navigate through Valuation and Late-stage processes.

Skill Set
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and prioritize responsibilities by balancing short term vs. long term needs
  • Strengths in communication, team management, and multitasking.
  • Understand interconnectivity of other opportunities and relevant complex trade-offs.
  • Ability to relate BMS's commercial and clinical strategy to business development.


What Success Looks Like

Work as a partner with the BD Transactions Lead to drive the VCT forward while relying on their specific BD, and possibly, TA specific knowledge to manage high level governance and overall BD portfolio.

Qualifications:
  • BS, MS, or MBA, with 5 or more years of experience in the Life Sciences Industry in areas of business development.
  • Excellent oral and written skills are required, and PMP certification is desirable.


Position requires:
  • Demonstrated project management experience on cross-functional business development teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement. Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the organization.
  • Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment where speed is paramount
  • Willingness and ability to effectively cooperate and collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Focus on process simplification and standard work.
  • Excellent oral and written skills
