Position Summary

This position is the leader of the Neuroscience marketing team and will lead the U.S. inline Marketing of Dysport® for Cervical Dystonia (CD), Adult Spasticity, and Pediatric Lower Limb (PLL) spasticity. As head of Neuroscience Marketing, this position is expected to lead the brand team in the development and execution of short / mid / and long-term strategy as well as annual operations plans. Additionally, this role will provide critical strategic input to global strategies related to the products and business development activities for the Neuroscience therapeutic area.

Leadership skills will be critical in this role. Providing marketing direction as well as working across functions and providing clear guidance to continue driving strong sales growth in key indications while executing the operational plans to meet company objectives.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities
  • Teams with Vice President of Business Unit in setting sales goals, with accountability on achievement those goals.
  • Provides brand strategy and direction and serves as the Brand Lead for Neuroscience
  • Manages the Neuroscience marketing team with responsibilities for HCP, Patient and closely liaising with the value and access team to align strategy and execution
  • Monitors and analyzes competitive environment and market dynamics and develops timely tactical plans based on findings
  • Develops brand goals and forecasts and measures results
  • Manages the relationship with the advertising agency and other key vendors and ensures expected deliverables are met
  • Leads creative campaigns, message development, message management and ensures consistent messaging
  • Works with medical leadership to ensure future activities support customer data needs, brand goals and strategy
  • Develops, executes, and measures effectiveness of marketing programs across market segments
  • Develops programs and tools for optimal sales force effectiveness
  • Engages and involves sales leadership in planning and key initiatives
  • Ensures 100% compliance with Ipsen Policies and Procedures
  • Ensures monthly and quarterly budget management within pre-specified variations.
  • Ensures alignment of marketing plans across all key stakeholders
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with thought leaders, key customers and professional organizations
  • Commissions primary market research projects as needed
  • Provides leadership and guidance in alignment with the Ipsen's core values to create a high performing organization.
  • Directly manage Neuroscience marketing team
  • Lead and direct agency partners to support the brand team while maintaining line of site and collaboration with the Ipsen Global Dysport® team
  • Collaborate with business partners across all functional areas
  • Work closely to develop and maintain relationships with teaching hospitals, Key thought leaders, advocacy groups, medical societies, distributors, payors, vendors and consultants
  • Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations that pertain to the Company and its employees.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university, MBA preferred.


Experience /Skills/Abilities
  • Minimum 15 years of increasingly responsible experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology with at least 3 of those years in U.S. Neuroscience marketing.
  • Experience managing KOL relationships, preferably in neurotoxin community.
  • Experience in building and executing successful physician training programs.
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience strongly preferred.
  • oven experience in the management of broad operational plans and budgets, with and without direct authority
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate and lead others
  • Demonstrated strong creative marketing skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong demonstrated project management, including resource allocation and fiscal management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated consistent track record of success delivering strong sales results
  • Demonstrated strong scientific/medical aptitude, ability to communicate complex scientific/medical concepts.
  • Successful people management experience with direct reports and leading teams
  • Demonstrated success in project, vendor, and budget management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, specialty markets with complex science and buy and bill reimbursement
  • Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities.
  • Effective profit and loss (P&L) management experience
  • Ability to work in an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.
  • Willingness/ability to travel domestically and internationally (by automobile and mass transportation) up to 20%.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills,.
  • Strong MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
