Planning Systems Finance Lead

This position will serve as a liaison between business finance users and the Business Technical Support community. The position's primary focus will be on business systems and related processes across a Finance Functional Area and/or Affiliate(s). The role of the Sr. Planning Systems Specialist is essential to ensuring the successful rollout of ASPIRE (AbbVie Standardized Planning and Reporting Environment). The day-to-day primary responsibility of the position will be a subject matter expert (SME) on ASPIRE, ensuring smooth business system operations across a Functional Area, Affiliate(s) and/or FP&A Teams. Additional responsibilities will include the coordination of activities within Headquarters (HQ) FP&A for all aspects of the systems life cycle and Systems Training as required.

Key Responsibilities Includes:

Program Support

• The selected candidate will be providing input on the requirements gathering phases through the roll-out of any Planning Systems. Additional responsibilities will include, ongoing business support during planning cycles, coordination of user acceptance testing for new releases, user issue resolution or escalation of issues to next level support, and the coordination of assigned functional area finance user input for system enhancements. Throughout these efforts the selected candidate will be responsible for delivering communication and change management updates to their Functional Area, Affiliate(s) and/or FP&A Teams, as well as communicating any enhancements requests and issues raised by their support area to the ASPIRE Governance Committee.
• Support activities within the ASPIRE Planning Systems will include: Planning Analytics, Financial Data Warehouse, Reporting, PAW, Business Objects (BOBJ), and Master Data Management. In addition to the above, this position will serve as a critical business role in the development, implementation and training for the ASPIRE Planning tools, including the use of FDH Warehouse Reporting tools. This position will also be responsible for leading periodic training sessions and area user group meetings.

Data Analysis and Financial Management

• The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced FP&A individual with an in-depth knowledge of financial and/or commercial planning processes and systems. You must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with a demonstrated capability to work cross functionally with Finance, Marketing and BTS teams.
• This position will encourage and support local super users and SME's for ASPIRE Planning Tools. They will be expected to answer questions and resolve business issues in time zone and local language - demonstrate 'know the business' leadership.

Basic:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Technology Systems related
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience. 3-5 years prior experience in a Strategic/Analytical Role
• Highly skilled in the use of: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills are required as well as strong communication skills
