Data Warehouse/MDM Analyst applies technical expertise to Data warehouse and Master Data Management (MDM) systems and has substantial knowledge in building ETL and MDM processes using Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IDQ, Informatica IDD, Informatica Metadata Manager, Informatica MDM hub and all related technologies. Data Warehouse/MDM Analyst will be part of a team of highly technical individuals responsible for enterprise wide data platforms and supports data audits.

Develops superior technical solutions to complex technical problems that require regular use of ingenuity/ creativity. Key point of contact for IT from a systems perspective for the systems under their responsibility. These include Enterprise data warehouse (EDW), Master data Management (MDM), other Business Intelligence (BI) applications and Atomic systems. Extensive hands on experience with Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Python, JSON and other Big data technologies. Extensive experience in working with premise and cloud environments on day to day basis.

Manages day to day operations of the systems under their responsibility, troubleshoots\responds to reported issues, reviews system performance to proactively identify issues and works with business users to resolve reported problems.

Manages and provides advice on, the selection, design, justification, implementation and business use of information systems. Completes tasks which support a project or functional team and also meet individual and corporate goals. Regular assignments are completed with supervision.

Major Requirements: - Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Expert level knowledge on Informatica MDM hub (Siperian) on 9.x and 10.x versions to make any design & architecture changes including configuring & fine tuning fuzzy logic Informatica MDM to meet the changing business needs and implementing new processes & projects.
  • Implements projects end to end to meet business needs in EDW and MDM subject areas using Informatica Powercenter, Informatica MDM hub other related technologies.
  • Develops simple to complex ETL mappings in Informatica and documents all the business rules applied in ETL logic to ensure the development is in line with Functional/Technical specification documents or any other requirements documentation.
  • Creates technical documentations such as technical specification documents, technical design documents, Data flow diagrams, process diagrams and process illustrations to help data architect.
  • Uses appropriate tools to collect, correlate and analyze data; records and maintains technical data for use in developing operating and instruction manuals.
  • Coordinates with cross functional teams to conduct testing, review and seek feedback and documents all preliminary findings for review by data architect.
  • Assists in the development of standards and procedures. Prepares written reports of work.
  • Applies and executes standard information systems theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Determines approach and solution to problem when issue is within scope of own ability.
  • Develops solutions to problems where casual relationships can be identified, and precedents exist.
  • Applies analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on ETL processes or systems.
  • Translates data gathered from user discussions into business & technical requirements as needed.
  • Identifies business/system needs and recommends solutions.
  • Assists with the testing strategies and develops preliminary findings.
  • Writes efficient SQL queries to analyze the data thoroughly and present the results of analysis to larger group.
  • Writes efficient PL/SQL & T-SQL packages, procedures and functions to meet the business requirements.
  • Analyzes departmental processes and needs and makes recommendations that are most effective means to satisfy those needs.
  • Analyses the most complex work procedures and job methods and presents concepts to simplify those procedures.
  • Partner effectively with all teams to ensure all business requirements are met, SLAs are met and data quality is maintained.
  • Work is performed, and technical decisions are made with a high degree of independence and performance is judged by results obtained.
  • Manages projects according to milestones and completes tasks assigned by more experienced analysts and managers.
  • Establish trust with all business functions across the company to assure them that IT data management addresses all data needs.
  • Exercises latitude in approach to problem and solution. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgement and to determine if overall results and objectives have been achieved.
  • Regular assignments are completed with supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent plus 5 or more years technical experience, or Master degree plus 3 or more years of experience or sufficient experience to demonstrate technical equivalency.
  • 5 or more years of SQL & PL/SQL development, Informatica ETL implementation, Informatica IDD implementation, Informatica IDQ development, Informatica MDM implementation, Informatica Powercenter & Informatica MDM Hub development & administration, Data & Business analysis with strong documentation skills. Implementation experience on Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Python, Impala and other big data utilities. Unix shell scripting,
  • Working knowledge and in-depth understanding of Pharmaceutical data and various data sources to MDM. (IMS/IQVIA data, Symphony data, Payer data, formulary data etc).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to write clear technical requirements for EDW & MDM initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze structured and unstructured data comprehensively using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Extensive data modelling & data architecture exposure.
  • Extensive experience in MS suite of products including but not limited to MS power point, Visio & Project.
