Research Associate/ Associate Scientist, DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology

Wave Life Sciences USA seeks experienced and highly motivated individual to join its team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This is an ideal position for an individual with a strong background in analytical chemistry and/or nucleic acid chemistry or related field who thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and cross disciplinary biotech environment. The candidate will be an integral member of a small team of scientists aiming to rapidly and pragmatically realize the potential of an emerging technology.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data from in vivo and in vitro studies (e.g. metabolite profiling, Protein plasma binding, in vitro metabolic stability etc)
• Write study report routinely to support IND submission
• Maintain a bioanalytical lab and keep the instruments running properly
• Interact with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and timelines
• Involved in planning experimental design and execution of all aspects of bioanalysis and creative problem solving
• Bioanalytical assays involving a range of tools and techniques like IE-HPLC, RP-HPLC, Mass spectrometry and ELISA
• Ability to take on projects of diverse nature to support internal programs

Education / Experience:

• B.S. / M.S degree in nucleic acid chemistry/chemistry/biochemistry/analytical sciences or related field with at least 3years of experience in Industry
• Specific expertise in mass spectrometry modalities; hands-on experience with QExactive mass spectrometer highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience with the development of a broad range of analytical methodologies for characterization of oligonucleotides
• Knowledge of GLP requirements and ICH guidelines desirable
