Manager, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications

We currently seek an Investor Relations (IR) and Corporate Communications Manager to develop the company’s IR and Corporate Communications strategy including forming and managing an investor relations program that supports the achievement of key corporate goals and milestones. Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Plan and ensure execution of external communications including:
    • Press releases
    • Investor Relations website
    • Corporate IR presentation
    • Social media outlets
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop key external communications that support corporate, commercial, and patient advocacy efforts.
  • Address media inquiries and responses.
  • Provide corporate communications support for conferences, medical meetings, and corporate events.
  • Ensure timely, accurate distribution of information.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key analysts and the investment community.
  • Plan and ensure execution of key investor events and communications including road shows and company-sponsored investor conferences.
  • Work collaboratively with business development, executive management, and external firms on PR strategy, positioning, communications, branding and media coverage.
  • Coordinate sell-side interactions including:
  • Equity research analyst liaison and management
  • Investor conferences
  • Medical conferences
  • Non-deal roadshows
  • Develop key metrics and systems to track investor outreach and long-term investment targets.
  • Conduct in-depth research into a range of topics including sell-side analyst reports and other reviews related to miRagen, industry trends, peers, and market landscape.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with other functional groups within the company to stay abreast of relevant internal information and industry developments.
  • Draft and manage press releases, scripts and Q&A for quarterly earnings calls.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials for Board of Directors, and other disclosure-related documents.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience in an IR and/or Corporate Communications role
  • Demonstrated knowledge in healthcare communications and regulations
  • Familiarity with IR in the biopharma space preferred.
  • Proven success supporting IR strategy through management of primary IR activities.
  • Excellent organizational/time management and the ability to effectively prioritize work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to meet the changing demands of a growing drug development company.
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate the Company’s key messages.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and manage multiple priorities.
  • May require up to 5% travel.
