FULL-TIME STAFF SCIENTIST, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. is a pre-revenue biotechnology company with exciting opportunities to work in molecular diagnostics. We are looking for an individual interested in applying his/her research skills to develop assays that detect cancer at the earliest stages via flow cytometry. The applicant must be able to work as part of a team comprised of cell and molecular biologists, as well as work independently on well-defined projects that require excellent understanding of cancer cell biology and flow cytometry.
Success in this position will require:
· Comprehensive understanding of cancer cell biology
· Proficiency in multi-parameter flow cytometry
· Attention to detail and precision
· Methodical/meticulous approach to solving problems
· Excellent record keeping
· Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· A willingness to learn and adopt new experimental skills
Preferred Skills:
· BSL2-level experience with biological sample preparation
· Sterile tissue culture techniques, including BSL2
· Immunohistochemistry
· Ability to design, analyze, document and present data
· Ability to prioritize projects and multi-task
Minimum Qualifications:
· PhD in Cell/Molecular Biology is preferred. MS is acceptable in combination with work history that demonstrates the candidate possesses the targeted expert knowledge and skills
· Experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry
· Proficient in a broad range of cell and molecular biology techniques; including cell culture
· Research experience in cancer biology
· Must be knowledgeable of computer software to support data analysis tasks (e.g., FlowJo or Diva for flow cytometry, GraphPad/Prism for statistics, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Must have excellent hands-on laboratory skills
· Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize scientific results in a clear, concise, & accurate manner
