Intercompany accounting at Regeneron is constantly evolving...just like our science...and it's what makes the Staff Accountant role so unique. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple Accounting & Financial Reporting areas with regards to statutory financials and the preparation of financial statements. You'll also be interfacing with multiple financial divisions - Tax, Finance, Treasury, etc. and leverage your insights and expertise in automation and process improvement. Summary:

Performs various intercompany, consolidation, and financial reporting tasks, including performing accounting close responsibilities, preparation of financial statements and related disclosures for statutory filings, and assisting in other ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of various intercompany accounting schedules/analyses related to the monthly close process. Compile reports to provide monthly/quarterly/annual financial results for the Company's subsidiaries to Senior Management.

• Preparation of journal entries and intercompany invoices

• Assistance with running the Oracle monthly close process

• Analysis of entity trial balances

• Ensure proper accounting for intercompany transactions. Preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and related supporting schedules in connection with statutory financial statements for company's international subsidiaries (prepared under IFRS)

• Effectively working and communicating with various departments across the organization, including Finance, Tax, Treasury, etc.

• Coordinating with and assisting external auditors

• Other ad hoc projects, such as updating company policies and procedures, streamlining intercompany processes (including how to leverage the system for more efficient/effective reporting), etc.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and project management abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy are critical in this position. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are mandatory. High proficiency with Microsoft applications is required. We seek an individual who has high integrity, is a team player, interacts effectively with others, can think independently and proactively propose solutions, and wants to be challenged and grow with our company.

• We seek an individual who possesses general understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statement presentation rules and regulations. Knowledge of Oracle and/or IFRS is a plus.

Minimal educational requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

Minimum Years of Experience:
1 to 3 years of accounting experience.
