Summary: Responsible for the oversight of operational support and on-going expansion of the vitally important Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This position works closely with the business stakeholders to ensure that the MES is meeting current manufacturing needs and is strategically positioned for future growth and expansion. The individual will also provide direction and guidance to the IT MES Team to ensure that all activities are aligned with current and future stakeholder needs, adhere to regulatory and Regeneron polices, and are aligned with industry best practices. Additionally, this individual oversees the processing of system change controls, documents and configurations to ensure that the MES remains in a validated state.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Works closely with a cross-functional team to ensure a highly-available MES environment to support 24 x 7 process manufacturing.

• Manages the work of both internal and external support resources to maintain a high-level of customer service.

• Assigns and oversees projects for, manages workload of, and provides direction to MES Administrators.

• Ensures that all activities of the IT MES Team are aligned with and in compliance of both governmental regulations and Regeneron policies.

• Works closely with a cross-functional team to develop and execute plans for the expansion of MES to interface with additional applications as appropriate.

• Works closely with business stakeholders to ensure that the MES is prepared to support the future growth of Regeneron.

• Primary point of contact with MES business stakeholders for technology support.

• Develops strategies and proposals regarding how the MES can provide additional business value, shares that information with business stakeholders and leads the implementation of approved projects.

• Oversees the processing of system change controls, documents configuration, and test plans to ensure that the MES remains in a validated state.

• Works closely with colleagues at the other Regeneron Sites to ensure that consistency is maintained within the MES implementations at Regeneron.
Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of modern manufacturing concepts such as smart factory and shop floor automation.

• Requires logical troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

• Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills are a must.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer service focus.

• Ability to maintain integrity and honesty at all times.

• Continuously drive to improve processes for improved performance.

Education and Experience:

• Requires BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent degree discipline.

• Requires 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience in supporting and growing an MES including designing, building, and supporting interfaces between ERP, Quality and shop floor systems.

• Demonstrated understanding of both ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards.

• Experience in a government regulated industry a plus.

• Experience in a process manufacturing environment a plus.
