Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing HCP marketing plans and programs needed to maintain market leadership in an increasingly competitive landscape. Work in a team-based environment to lead the development and execution of strategies and implementation of tactics to maximize brand sales, market share, and profitability. Internally fosters positive working relationships with the sales force, medical affairs, market research, sales training, regulatory, and other cross franchise marketing teams. Externally, works with various agencies and consultants, key opinion leaders, and co-marketing partners to successfully drive the business.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and execute high-impact HCP marketing strategies that are innovative, executable, and clinically/financially supported to drive disease state awareness and brand preference.
    • Lead the Immunology Gastroenterology commercial peer to peer educational strategy
    • Support the development and execution of advisory boards and conferences
  • Requires the ability to provide in-depth insights based on product / market assessments, monitoring progress against brand milestones, and assimilation of key stakeholder feedback with quantitative analysis in order to make strategic recommendations for optimal brand performance.
  • Work with internal cross functions groups and external partners to insure integration and consistency of business strategies and regulatory compliance of promotional material.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of campaign strategies through campaign measurement and metrics development to ensure positive return on investment and achievement of brand objectives. Identify problems proactively and conceptualize solutions using creativity and innovation.
  • Effectively track and manage marketing budget for area of responsibility. Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the patient and ensure that all marketing activities align with the needs of the target audience.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate
  • Think innovatively regarding the application of new technologies to marketing, particularly within a regulated environment
  • Proactively support the sales force through ongoing communications of marketing programs

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Previous sales/marketing experience required. 5+ years brand marketing/consumer promotions experience preferred
  • Apply marketing concepts in the development of marketing plans and programs including brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, market research, marketing objectives/strategies, patient segmentation, etc.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally
  • Strong planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or previous sales/marketing experience required
  • Experience working in multiple therapeutic categories
